Scripture reference: 1 John 2:18-27
This is Part I of a multiple part message, in which we seek to understand where John, his readers and we today are located in the grand Biblical story when he writes ‘Children, it is the last hour‘. We learn about what purpose and destiny God made humanity for, how things went wrong and what God’s response was – namely the launching of Operation Recover Humanity in which God seeks to work through humanity to fix things, acting ultimately and decisively in the God-man Jesus Christ. We also recap some of what John has told us in his letter prior to this passage as a lead up to Part II which will go into the passage in much more detail.
