Scripture reference: 1 Thessalonians 2:13-20

Having gone through the character of the true messengers of the gospel, Paul now turns his attention to the hearers of the Gospel, both those who accepted it and those who rejected it. Those who accepted the gospel as the word of God will experience its work in their lives, but those who rejected the gospel and persecute the believers will experience the wrath of God in the coming judgment.
