The Parable of the workers in the vineyard

Scripture reference: Matthew 19:30, Matthew 20:1-16

Jesus shared the parable of the workers in the vineyard with His disciples, to show that in God’s kingdom, the worldly principles of merit and reward are set aside so that God’s grace can prevail and come forth. God’s lavish grace may even seem to be unfair unless it is viewed from His standpoint.
