Scripture reference: Romans 13:1-7

Paul takes up a new theme – the relation of the Christian to the world’s governments and authorities. He shows that all authority belongs to God and that the world’s governments have a duty appointed by God. Obedience to God requires our submission to the local authority and never replaces our obedience to God.
