The Last Week – The fig tree and the temple

Scripture reference: Mark 11:12-19, John 12:20-41

It is Monday of the last week before the Lord Jesus’ death and resurrection. He comes from Bethany to Jerusalem early in the morning, hungry, and sees a fig tree, but it has nothing for Him. He enters the Temple and gives the nation a foretaste of the judgement to come. He is the grain of wheat that must not remain alone.
